Bridge is a mind-game of strategy, logic and teamwork where each team bids on the number of tricks they expect to win, bidding either a trump suit or a game where they believe they are able to win without needing to play a suit by choosing a ‘No Trump” bid.
Duplicate pairs are usually played unless otherwise specified and the Stourbridge Bridge Club use Bridgemates at all their competitions.
Competitions are held on a:
Monday afternoon - at 12.45pm for a 1pm start.
Tuesday evening - at 7pm for a 7.05pm start
Friday evening - at 7pm for a 7.05pm start
Participants need to be sat down by the earlier time when the movement is declared. These games last for about three hours and are held in the Stourbridge Institute’s Function Room.
