In accordance with Rule 3(a), ‘the classification of Membership shall be decided Annually by the Committee’.
Your Committee feels that the category of Nominated Membership needed clarification.
NOMINATED MEMBERS CAN BE:
Membership of Stourbridge Institute can be obtained by downloading the membership form below. After completing the form with your details, two sponsors must also sign the form. The sponsors must be full members of Stourbridge Institute.
If potential members are unable to find sponsorship, they can still obtain membership as detailed on the form.
The completed form must then be handed to the Secretary who can be contacted at 01384 373221.
We have set up a number of ways to enable people to pay and renew their club membership fees, which are due from the beginning of the year.
Upon receipt of fee payments, Members' access will be updated electronically on the club’s PAC system. The new credit card-style membership cards (which will include points to spend in the club) and car park stickers will be placed in envelopes for collection by members from the bar or office.
As a member of the Stourbridge Institute Social Club who has taken up the option of having access to the car park, it is a misuse of their car park key to let non-car park members onto the SISC car park.
This practice is unfair to paying members and therefore must not happen. Any car park member found to be doing this could have their own rights to car park access either suspended or even revoked.
Car park stickers and loyalty cards will be placed in envelopes behind the bar for collection by members within 1 week of payment.
The Committee has decided, after much deliberation, that there needs to be a slight increase to the Membership fees of the Club for 2026.
In 2025 we have encountered significant costs relating to repairs and maintenance, having to comply with updated Health and Safety requirements, and ageing equipment, together with the rising costs of food and drink, and mandatory rises in wages and labour costs.
The Committee have worked very hard managing the Finances of the Club, and Members of the Committee and their support teams have again done a huge amount of work to save these costs being significantly higher.
As ever attracting new members to the club is important, so we are re-introducing the Membership incentive scheme, where existing Members can earn points to spend at the bar by successfully introducing new members who sign up and join the club.

Club Membership Door only + £10 Member points. £140 (D/D £14 pm)
Club Membership Door and Car Park + £30 Member points. £400 (D/D £40 pm)
Intermediate and Junior Members fees remain the same £30pa and €10pa
